How To Save Money As A Teenager.

To start this off I am in no way an expert in finances or anything of the sort but I do know a couple of tips that help me save and budget my money better as a teenager. One of my biggest fears ---which makes me strategically try to budget my money--- is being broke. I'm 17 and I honestly cannot stand being without money and having to ask others for money. So, with that in mind with the tips below I will help you guys learn how to save and budget your money better.

1. Open up a bank account. Have both a savings and a checking account.
2. Do not ever touch money from your savings account unless it's an emergency!
3. Save your coins, they will add up in no time.
4. If you are old enough... get a job, it does not matter if it's fast food or retail find a source of income.
5. Do not buy food every day of the week or even more than 3x a week.
6. If you have a debit or credit card don't go #swipecrazy at stores or online.
7. If you need cash, take out just enough to last you for a week or two. However, if you do this don't also use your card simultaneously because then you are just going to end up spending more money than needed.
8. Don't ignore your savings account, try to add money to it when you are either paid or someone gifts you with more money then you need.
9. Teach yourself how to invest or even just learn about it by reading some articles or top-notch books about it.
