Slowly Figuring It Out.
Spring Break was two weeks ago. Up until the week of Spring Break, I believed I would be going to college in North Carolina and was going to sell an arm and a leg to pay for it. The day after I re-toured the NC school, I changed my mind and decided I would just stay in SC to go to college. I got additional scholarships and finally received my financial aid from my current college and all of the funds in total made going to college extremely affordable. I am still upset that I will not be going out of state for college, however, I honestly did not want to have to take out student loans to finance my college education. So, making the mature and "grown" decision I decided to stay in-state to not go into debt. Plus, the college I am going to has an amazing business program which is what I will be going to college for, business-finance specifically.
Besides figuring out what college I am going to, I am still figuring life out. In this era, you see people making tons of money before they turn 20 years old, which is amazing. Yet, you got people that live in my city who are programmed into going to college to get a career to eventually be able to retire by 50-60. While my goal is to become a financial advisor, I just hope that I can become financially dependent on my own and not rely on job promotions and my 401K to keep me afloat.
I have been working part-time at a local food restaurant saving my money to eventually start a side hustle that will help me achieve financial freedom before I am 30 years old. I kinda want to start a Shopify dropshipping business, but once again I am still figuring it out. I do not know if I want to spend money on a course or just watch YouTube videos to figure out how to start an e-commerce business.
Whatever journey I decide to take in the next few months and into my first year of college, I hope that you guys will stick around to see what will happen.
